Summer has now (officially) begun and I want to make the best of it. Last summer I noticed that when I wrote my plans down for the season I got much more done since I had a written plan and goal of how I would be spending my summer, and therefore I have decided to do the same thing this year.
My overall plan this summer is to use it to its full potential and not let it go to waste which is, unfortunately, a common thing in my life. It is pretty easy to waste one’s day online doing nothing, afterward feeling regret and yet the next day doing the same thing.
I have an idea of what I want to do these next two months and by putting pen to paper (or keyboard to document) I know that there is a higher chance I’ll do it.
Plans for Summer 2019
Sewing
Including:
- 1 Russian Pattern
- 1 Vintage (pre-90s) pattern
- 2 dresses, pants, 2 tops, 1 bag/purse
- 1 home item/gift
- and an item per family member
Anywho, I’ll also try to fulfill some of the things from my ‘Sewing Resolutions for 2019‘ post.
Blogging
Blogging has been a great outlet for me when I feel depressed or down and overall just a hobby, but lately, I’ve felt that blogging has become more of a chore and the passion I had for it has slowly waned. My plan for this summer is to get back on track on blogging and to try to capture the passion I had for Plaid and Sugar when I first began.
Life
With family visiting us right now, we are planning to go to iconic cities with them and to visit some wonderful tourist destinations. As of now, we’ve been to the Old Port and St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal and we hope to go to every tourist destination in this city!
*I posted this picture of the Old Montreal/Port on Instagram a couple of weeks ago. It’s a small, 300-year-old street that is semi-hidden and it’s perfect for pics!
For the last couple of months, I’ve been thinking of redecorating my room since I find that a lot of space is being wasted that could be used for storage or making my room look better. This summer I hope to paint my walls and to DIY some shelves and a desk because for the last month I’ve been working in my room on either the floor or my bed.

So those are my (always tentative) plans for this summer. do I think that I’ll do everything on the list? No, but even doing half of that would be a great accomplishment.
What are your plans for this summer? Will you travel, visit family, work or just stay home?
Til next time,
