Hello to all.
As you can see it has been over a month since I last wrote and published a post. It was not my intention to ignore this blog, it’s just that life has been harder than what I expected. As you may know, I started university this fall and it is very difficult for me and my schedule had been so busy that I felt that there was a never-ending cycle of reading and writing. I started feeling not only stressed out but anxious too. And so for the sake of my mental health, I decided to take a break from blogging.
In early October I had to make a hard decision to drop out of one of my classes. The teacher had very high expectations and was (at times) almost looking down at you since you weren’t the doctor teaching the course and therefore didn’t know the right thing. The topic of the research paper was very, very vague and as first year I had no idea how to go about it, and I was falling behind on my other courses. And so I dropped out.
Unfortunately, I had already paid so I would not be getting my money back but was within the academic deadline, meaning that it wouldn’t affect my GPA. But as soon as I dropped that course I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. Was it easy? No. But, was it the right decision? Yes.
Since then I have been catching up with all of my classes and have actually been enjoying life lately.
On a happy note, I got accepted into my first ChickAdvisor mission and was chosen to Tetley tea campaign! I wrote an Instagram post on it here. I have to give you a heads up, I got these for free but the thoughts and comments are my own. Also, they taste so really good and they come with vitamins for different things. The immune tea has Zinc and helps the person feel better (I know, I tried)
I haven’t sewn anything since the 80s pattern review. I started to do a jacket but I ran into some trouble so now it is on my mannequin waiting to be finished.
I’ve been more active on Instagram lately but I have now started to write new posts for the coming weeks. So for the next few weeks bear with me please as I try to write and post more often.
Oh! before I go I want to wish my fellow Canadians a happy belated Thanksgiving!
