It’s the first review post of the year and it’s about Fenty Beauty’s newest product: the Full Frontal Mascara. This mascara came out about two days ago and I’m so glad I had the chance to review it as soon as it came out (well the day before) and here is what I think.

Full Frontal Mascara | Fenty Beauty
As most of you may know, the brand was launched in 2017 by Rhianna the singer. The cosmetic brand is known for its inclusivity as it has a huge range of foundation/concealer shades for all.
Although I’ve never had the opportunity to try out any of Fenty Beauty’s products, I’ve heard great things about the quality of the highlighters among the rest of the products. Then a couple of days ago (on the 16th) they launched their first-ever mascara: The Full Frontal in ” Cuz I’m Black” shade. It is supposed to dramatically lift and curl the lashes, and so I tried it out myself.
Earlier about a week ago, I got an email from Influenster that I had been accepted/chosen to partake in the Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara campaign. It was a total surprise and could not wait to review it!
The packages arrived the day before it launched, but I was not able to try it until the day after the launch date as life got busy. As soon as I tried it out I took some pictures and sat down to write this post so I could post it ASAP.

the design
I’m a sucker for beautiful packages and Full Frontal Mascara‘s * package does not disappoint. The box is slim in black and white with a graffiti on the top.
The mascara design of the tube is gorgeous. It is long and slick, the top is black and gradually turns a nice pink gold. The wand/brush itself is a bit different, it has a swirly(?) brush and the interesting thing about it is that it is flat-to-fat. Meaning that the fat side is supposed to lift and the flat defines.
the lashes
The mascara is supposed to curl lashes and lift them, and I found that although it did lift them it did not curl them that much but it gives it volume and lots of it! It did lengthen and lift them, giving my eyes a wider/bright-eyed look but my lashes were not that curled, then again it was my first time using this type of wand so practice could make perfect.
It is definitely deep black, and the color looks great, it is a bit smudge-resistant and does last most of the day. It is not water-proof but water-resistant which is great as I’m prone to accidentally coating my skin and have no problem trying to remove it.

final thoughts
The quality of the mascara formulas is great, I love that it is water and smudge resistant and that it does not feel heavy on my lashes. The brush is was a new experience and although it was hard to use in the beginning I know that with practice I’ll get the hang of it. Besides the little issue with it not curling enough, I would recommend this mascara. I give it a 4.5/5
You can buy it at Sephora US* and at Sephora CA*.
At $24US it is relatively cheaper than other designer mascaras. So if you want to indulge yourself this mascara is the one to buy, but if you want a cheaper alternative to the Full Frontal mascara I recommend L’Oreal’s Bambi Eye * Mascara which also makes lashes look longer and fuller for a half the cost (this one I LOVE).

I've never tried any Fenty beauty, (I'm cheap haha) but I would love to! My favorite mascara is definitely the Maybelline Volum' Express The Colossal Mascara. If you haven't tried it, I would definitely recommend it.

I have heard of this brand, but never tried anything before! But they sound great! I want to definitely expand my very small make up collection. I want to experiment more as I am pretty rubbish with make up. Thank you for the review! X
I've been meaning to try out something from Fenty Beauty. I don't think I've ever encountered a bad review on their range. I don't use mascara anymore as I get lash extensions but I have to say I'm pressed with the results. I love how thick it has made your lashes and I do believe I think they're also quite defined. I've never encountered a wand in that style so would be curious to see you do a follow up post once you've found the knack of using it to its potential!

The Fenty Beauty mascara adds a lot of volume to your lashes and I like how they look so feathery and natural!

It really does sound like a great mascara. I really like the look of the wand, I seem to prefer smaller wands these days as most brands are creating massive chunky wands right now! Thank you for sharing your review with us xo

Fenty Cosmetic is one of the best. This mascara looks awesome. I like the packaging.
I've never used any Fenty products but I will need to give it a try. Your eyelashes look amazing after using it; natural yet glam!!
I'm a sucker for packaging too and THIS is right up my street. It's adorable and the wand is so interesting. I love the shape! I'd be really intrigued to hear a follow up on if the curl holds better if you curl your eyelashes before as I have to curl my straight lashes and apply a waterproof mascara or my eyes look droopy! I'd love to hear from you about that whenever you get a chance x
I haven't tried it because I hardly use mascara, but it sounds like a great product and will point people to this blog if they ever need help choosing a mascara!
